The Moral Imperative of the 21st Century

Don't be afraid to work towards a goal that may seem impossible. Work to define the 21st century as the century in which the injustice of abortion was eradicated.

The 21st century is a new frontier for civilization full of wondrous inventions and awe-inspiring moments. From the creation of the iPhone to the development of artificial intelligence, the world is changing before our eyes. The United States’ population has increased from 281,421,906 in 2000 to 331,449,281 in 2020. While it is beautiful that “In 200 years (from 1800-2000), the world population increased more than 6 times, but the Christian Population increased faster over the same period (over 9 times)”, less than 50% of Americans say they belong to a Church, Mosque, or Synagogue. This secularization of the nation is hurting not just the nonreligious, but also millions and millions of babies in the womb through the mass-murder known as abortion.

In states without complete abortion bans in 2024, 1,038,000 babies were murdered while an estimated one in four women are expected to have an abortion by age 45. Because of statistics like these, and the secularization of society, approximately a quarter of “Gen Z” has been murdered before they can emerge into the world and make the world a greater place. This must change. We as Americans, as humans, and most importantly as children of GOD must end this. We must work together to speak for life, march for life, and pass legislation for life. We must defend and protect the beautiful creation GOD Gives us. Life.

Do not be afraid to defend life. Do not be afraid to do what is right. Do not be afraid to work towards a goal that may seem to be impossible. Work to label the 21st century as the century of the pro-life movement. In the days, weeks, months, and years to come, let us all work together to defend the most innocent and vulnerable humans: babies in the womb.

You may be asking, but how? How can we climb this intimidating mountain? What do we do in the face of adversity and amid a storm along the journey? Let me direct your attention to Matthew 8:23-27. This reads “He got into a boat and His disciples followed him. Suddenly a violent storm came up on the sea, so that the boat was being swamped by waves; but He was asleep. They came and woke Him, saying, ‘Lord, save us! We are perishing!’ He said to them, ‘Why are you terrified, O you of little faith?’ Then He got up, rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was great calm. The men were amazed and said, ‘What sort of man is this, whom even the winds and the sea obey?’”. We may face storms during this journey in fighting for the unborn. Some will be larger than others. Before, during, and after each storm, let us turn our minds, our hearts, our words, and our lives to GOD every day. We must try our best. One step at a time. One prayer at a time. We can do this.

In today’s society, we often view our civic leaders as bigger than life, whether it be positively or negatively, whether we wish to admit it or not. Let’s be real with each other. They are the same as you and I. We must not be afraid to request of them to be pro-life and work to convince them to vote pro-life and create pro-life legislation. After all, you, I, Donald Trump, and Joe Biden were all babies in the womb once upon a time. We each deserve what the Constitution of the United States calls the right to “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness”. What would the latter two be without the first? To have liberty and to be able to pursue happiness, we must have life.

I encourage each and every one of you to venture to your state’s “March for Life” and especially the national “March for Life” which occurs in January every year in Washington, DC. Keep this candle of hope and love lit in your thoughts, words, prayers, and actions this day and every day moving forward. May GOD Bless all of you as you venture onto this beautiful journey of protecting His Children from the womb to the tomb. Someday, I hope, the history books will label this beautiful movement and the 21st century as a century for justice for those in the womb and more specifically call the 21st century the pro-life century.
